Psychotherapy involves meeting with a trained mental health professional to explore thoughts, emotions, life experiences, and patterns that may be impacting your well-being or relationships. Therapy offers a supportive, confidential space to better understand yourself, navigate challenges, and develop new ways of coping and relating. While many people seek therapy during periods of difficulty or transition, you do not need to be in crisis to benefit from support.
A Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) is a clinician registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) who is actively progressing toward full independent practice. Therapy is provided under ongoing clinical supervision and in accordance with the professional standards established by the College and the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association’s (CCPA) Code of Ethics. Clinical supervision and adherence to these regulatory and ethical standards help ensure that care is provided thoughtfully, professionally, and in your best interest.
The consultation is held online through Psychology Today, a secure, PHIPA-compliant platform accessible from your computer or phone via a web browser.
It serves as an initial assessment, offering space to discuss your current concerns and ask any questions about the therapeutic process. It is also an opportunity to get a sense of whether the fit feels right.Please ensure you are in a private, distraction-free space with a reliable internet connection.
In the event of technical difficulties, the consult may be continued by phone or rescheduled.
At least 24 hours’ notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment are required. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed appointments, incur a $50 fee.
Visa, Mastercard or Interac Debit. Sessions are charged to the card on file following each appointment.
Yes. Virtual sessions are billed at the same rate as in-person sessions. Kindly inform your therapist if you wish to switch an in-person session to virtual due to inclimate weather or other unforseen circumstances.
Direct billing is not available at this time. Following each session, you will receive a receipt by email, which can be submitted to your insurance provider for reimbursement. You are responsible for confirming your coverage for psychotherapy services. Please note that late cancellation and missed appointment fees are not covered by insurance.
Parking is available in the surrounding area:
Manulife Centre (underground parking) — approximately $12–25
Green P (Charles St. at Yonge St.) — paid parking
MacPherson Avenue (north of Davenport Rd.) — free street parking after 10am (a longer walk)
